I grew up in the Ontario wilderness. I spent a memorable chunk of my childhood running through the forest, climbing sand dunes, chasing fireflies, camping under ancient trees, waking to loon calls and feeding chipmunks by hand. I learned to draw in the sand and learned to swim in the lakes.

I now live in Alberta and visit the mountains as often as I can. I talk to bees, hike the river valley, bike in parks and befriend birds. Even years later I have not lost my childlike wonder for the earth. As an artist, writer and lifetime learner I have always felt at home in nature and respect the magic and beauty found there. I am passionate about honouring the habitat of the creatures I hold dear while preserving a future where we can work in harmony with the earth.

I was born in the city of Victoria, BC surrounded by the big beautiful blue ocean, incredible mountains and forests with the biggest trees I have ever seen. Growing up surrounded by these landscapes made me fall in love and really grateful for the peace they provide me. I have always been intrigued by the wildlife that lives within and feel passionate about protecting them.

I am a mother of two strong, smart and independent daughters who I love more than anything in this world. Becoming a mother has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. They taught me to be strong and brave. I want to use what they have taught me to ensure my girls are able to explore and enjoy all of the things the world has to offer so they can learn, explore and grow. This is why I decided to work with one of my best friends to create this podcast to inspire as many people as we can to protect everything mother nature has to offer for our future generations to enjoy.
